Notes

There are four different types of notes: Left, Right, Clap, and Combined (Left and Right at the same time). They can either be single notes (hit once) or sustained (must be hit repeatedly over an extended period).

Inserting notes

You can insert notes by holding 1 and clicking on anyhere on the lane of an active track. Alternatively, pressing 2, 3, or 4 will insert a left, right, or clap key respectively at your current position in all of the active tracks.

Cutting, copying, and pasting notes

Paste notes and markers from the clipboard to the score. There are options for the notes and markers to maintain their original start times (absolute) or have them relative to where you currently are in the score (relative). Additionally, the notes can be pasted into every active track (Active Tracks) or only to like-tracks (i.e. notes copied from player 1's track will only be pasted to player 1's track) by default.

Moving notes

Notes can be moved by clicking and dragging them horizontally along the track or vertically.

When moved horizontally, they snap to points along the measures. The number of snappable points per measure can be modified in the Edit tab from the Segments field.

If moved vertically, their note type will change.

Extended / sustained notes

By default, whenever a note is placed in Konga Beat, it will be a single note. If you want to extend the note, you must middle click on it. Then, you may extend the tail as you see fit. For extended combined notes, only the left or right note needs to be extended, not both.
